Hello! Noticed some of you were having trouble with making binds.. Well binds are very easy, but in this tuturial I will explain how you can make a bindscript, multiple binds under 1 key. WARNING: If your sof2mp.cfg becomes bigger than 16kb it will reset your sof2mp.cfg to default when you launch the game again. So be sure not adding too many binds or you'll have this problemA handy way of keeping your sof2mp.cfg to become bigger than 16kb is remove some stuff out of there you don't need. If you never launch a server all the server settings can be deleted as you don't need them. A simple bind: bind 1 "say Enter Your Text Here" bind 2 "say Enter Text For Bind 2 Here" etc....
But we already know that don't we? Here is an example from my bindscript. It is the Nice shot message under the key "3". bind 3 "vstr nslist" seta nslist "vstr nslist1" seta nslist1 "say ^3*^$=[^7@64 #D^$]=^3*; set nslist vstr nslist2" seta nslist2 "say ^3*^$=[^7@109 #D^$]=^3*; set nslist vstr nslist1"
As you can see I have giving this a name (nslist). When you press the 3 first you get @64 #D. When you press it the second time you will get the message @109 #D. Well you can make them as big as you want, or as many as you want. But then again only when your sof2mp.cfg stays under 16kb. Make an empty .cfg file (just with notepad) and add all your binds there. Call them binds.cfg and put them in your base folder. When ingame just type in console /exec binds And you're ready to use them You might wanna backup some stuff like your nickname. Give it a try and see what you think Another Example (a little clearer): bind 0 "vstr lollist" seta lollist "vstr lollist1" seta lollist1 "LOL A; set lollist vstr lollist2" seta lollist2 "LOL B; set lollist vstr lollist3" seta lollist3 "LOL C; set lollist vstr lollist1"
As you can see, first time when you press the 0 it says LOL A, then LOL B and then LOL C. Have a play with this and make your binds a little more unique

ROFL! I just found an old bindscript on my pc. I was using this a few years ago.. Please note: This bindscript is 8KB! If you check out your sof2mp.cfg and you see that it's already bigger than 8kb you probably wanna back up it, just copy it to another place. Then place this file in your base folder and type ingame /exec bindscriptI added it as an attachment for you guys, so you can learn or modify it easier for yourself Oh and please don't laugh on what kind of binds there in there Hope you guys can use this! Hmm I dont quite understand but I think what your trying is a sound with other text, right?
A very simple way of that is for example:
bind 1 say WASSUPPPPP!!!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^!^@108
You know see WASSUPPP!!! but you hear the hello bind from @108...
good luck

No its something SOF2 does.. No idea why though.. But if that file (sof2mp.cfg saves all your settings etc) becomes bigger than 16kb it will go to default lol :/

I had some problems whit making binds so i ask truden an he send me an explaining.....
More people ask me then how you make binds, So here a explain from Truden. There are 3 ways of creating binds hat i know. 1st is to fix ur bind in console in game. Open your console, type bind N say @64 (nice shot) and u can use all the keyboard, but those binds wont keep long. 2nd way to create binds without arrows or signs as 4 and circled 4 or 3 is: In your base folder (C:/Program files/soldier of fortune/base ) create new text file. In that file u need to type the same things as in console so: bind n say @64 bind h say @108 (hello) bind t say @315 (thank you) after u fix all ur wanted binds, then save that file in base folder like binds.cfg or mybinds.cfg or whatever.cfg u need to put .CFG !!! at the ned of name of the file then, when the file with ur binds and .cfg at the end is saved in base folder go to the game and open the console (u can open it by key ¸ left to number one) wher ur in console, type there exec binds, and that must be it... this is the way for normal binds, it seems to be hard to do it, but when u understand the way, its much easier. Now the 3rd way to make binds with other signs like arrow <- This one is a litle bit harder to make but i believe u will figure it out how mozzito.free.fr/tool/tag_editor/ this is the page where u can make that kind of binds ,look at this one, just copy following text to the page: ^- ^N ^7 ^N ^7M ^0 ^N]-[^7 ^N ^7D^N$^7]-[^N ^N'][' ^- now the way... make new text file in base folder, and write: Say" copy ur bind made in moz tag editor here" make sure that " signs are posted at the start and at the end of ur bind !! and save it like ,let it say headshot.cfg in base folder (the bind that i made for u for the case before). now create more those binds and name them on purpose and always put .CFG at the end of the bind name. (every bind MUST be in its own text file - not like the 1st way of making binds !! ) When ur done with those binds, then create another text file. here u will assign ur keys to the similar bind. So if u will have ur headshot bind on ur Q key u will write: Bind q "exec headshot.cfg" Bind h "exec hello.cfg" Bind n "exec niceshot.cfg" Bind t "exec thankyou.cfg" This binds must be written in ONE text file ! the save the file as binds.cfg in base folder, go to the game exec ur master binds and rock out thme ))

loooool stupid memory... Ok the idea is simple:
First off copy your sof2mp.cfg to the same directory (RPMPro). Remove all text binds and safe it as autoexec.cfg
Now for the RPM_Start_game.bat
Open it with notepad, and add at the end: +exec bindscript.cfg (bindscript.cfg will be the name where your binds are).
Now you can have infinite binds without your sof2mp.cfg resetting itselve.
But if you want to change something be sure to change it in autoexec and not in your sof2mp else it wont read when you restart the game
