Well we've played the Mikey map today, its just crazy holy crap!
Noticed some of u wanted some changes to please post them here...
I already have one thats making the flag base a bit lower, cause sometimes when you run to get a flag you just jump over it lol..

Hi, homeserver now running with the 2 new maps for testing. >DAVID just 1 problem, if you be in the water you cant climb out (map invasion) /EDIT servername with the new maps is P U R P L E H A Z E, cant miss the big name in sof2 menu

Map mikey and invasion (testmaps) put both in BASE download here: www.filefront.com/user/bleupurpleand if you don't use this try ZePp_textures.zip Put in base/ MP< change all textures of your maps

Hehe well your not supposed to be in the water, but I can make a ladder out of it... How is the Infiltration working on the PH servers? When I tested it local everything seemed fine but ive tested it on the RPMPro server and then for some reason it restarted again and again, it was very weird.. And I need to make the boats go a little faster cause sometimes you have to wait

Mikey2 Fixed: Lower flag base (easier to get the flag) Wooden wall before the flag (not too big though) Some secrets ^^ (doesn't spoil the real game cause u cannot reach them when in action) (You probably want to change mapname invasion to invasion2 and mikey to mikey2 in the servers meg) As for burle I couldn't add the soda can, but I got you something better Attachments:

Invasion2 Fixed: - Ladder from water at red base (when you fall into the water you dont have to swim for 5 miles anymore) - Boat speed back to the blue base (sometimes it sucks when you have to wait) - Added some covers at red base Now i'm going to get some air cause i've mapped too long these days =D Attachments:

wel the mikey map may be called michaels House en it needs more gravity and de speed you walk with a little higher same as the other maps we always do en i keep having the problem when i play in that map i lose all my configuration settings....

Well mikey2 is just's working great
As for the invasion map...
When I tested it in infiltration game type it worked well. I uploaded it to the RPMPro home server (cause the map change command didnt worked for me at PH) but then the map loaded again and again every 5 seconds for some reason... Anyone else tested this local? Or have you played it online yet? I have absolutely no clue why it didn't worked online on the rpm server so i'm happy to hear any feedback about this.

Hi david, yes in homeserver it works, from map raven to map mikey2 no problem. I have told Mikey already to try vote/go to other map, in the past admins going often from raven ctf to chop8 ctf If that work than it must be somthing wrong with mikey2 mapname or map longname/arena and the servers refuse to go to that maps

Hmmm I don't use other files then just the mapfile itselve... But I dont remember ever giving it trouble I put own made maps in mapcycles before on servers. Yeah the both servers are online again

I dont know what changed in sof2 but as far as I know when we used to make maps we just made the maps without .ent files and the models loaded up just fine... Dont know I remember things such as enitity's since Goldrush and RPMPro came with it Not before... Used to always sent .bsp files or .bsp files inside of an .pk3 without entitiy files :/ Maybe anyone else can give a reply about this if they saw the lamps and plants in this room or if they did not?

Hi David, The ent i used is exactly the same as in your bsp, plants and light are in only changed the flagplace and add fireworks. I have removed the ent. and play the map again as it meant to be. But still no plants/lichtbulb I remember that yesterday before ph mikey show me the teleport/secret and than also no plants etc. and ent. files was not made yet

I just wanted to post the same, you beat me to it. But the fact that is bothering me is that I have no idea why we need .ent files with every map now... I compared my pk3 to a pk3 from excisting maps and they all dont have .ent files.. Do you see models in maps like uk_pool etc? Or I build the .bsp a wrong way but I used the final building stage so that couldn't be it either :S Well it's doesn't really spoil the gameplay or anything but still the map is so empty without models lol... Nice merry Christmas picture by the way

Nice merry Christmas picture by the way Hi, If you open an map pk3 file, (winrar) there in is bsp take it out, i open it with EditPadLite and scroll down you see the ent file If you add things in ent file and put it in the server133.pk than all is clientside. If you change/update a map like mikey than mikey2 players need download new map again, like you did with map cem1 I can make from map mikey, the first one the same map as mikey2 and map keeps the same name but download not needed David

If there is the slightest change between the bsp files from mikey and mikey2 players will get the message that there is a mismatch and therefor will not be able to play it :S
I always make maps in GTKRadiant 1.4. Then after I am done with the .map file I compile it (build it) into a .bsp file choosing all the extra settings like lightening styles etc.
A .pk3 file is simple a renamed .zip file.
So my map files will look like this:
Name.pk3 > maps(folder) > map.bsp
It is still very confusing to me that almost everything now a days is done with .ent files..
Cause the pk3 with the map I made should be able to run on every sof2 edition with or without any mods..
Because the lines with stuff like models etc are shown when you open a .bsp file is fine. It tells your sof2 that it needs to load up those models... Dunno why they don't show up with you guys though... Just like uk_pool, you guys see models there dont you?
