I will set on this topic some handy binds to have.
It is good to make a special folder for all your Binds. I suggest to make an extra folder called Binds, and put all of your binds in there. Then refer to them in your autoexec.cfg file.
I will use Text (*.TXT) files for these binds. But you can also use *.cfg file extention.
How to make a *.cfg file:
That is very easy, it will probably look difficult if you read this. But trust me, when you trie it once, you will see it is realy easy.
- Right klick your mouse (on your desktop), - Choose NEW, - Choose tekstdocument,
Now you will have a new *.txt file called New Tekst Document. Open this file, and type in here what you want to save. Then Choose the following: - File, - Save as,
A new menu will open, this is the SAVE menu. You will see 2 things: - Filename, - Save as type,
OK, file name is offcourse the name of the file you want to call it. Lets call it test. So you have to fill in here test.cfg (YES you have to fill in the .cfg too). Then the option Save as Type. This is standard on Tekstdocument (*.txt). Open the pull down menu and you will see the option All files. You have to choose this option. Then just save the file and you will have a *.cfg file

Here is a bind wich makes it possible to change the type, color and size of your crosshair while playing. No more searching in the settings or files for the right crosshair. Just by using 2 keys, you can costumize it completely.
What keys are used: I used for this bind Keypad INS (Keypad 0), and Keypad DEL (Keypad 1).
How does it work: Press Keypad 0 to choose what you want to change (Size, color, type). Press Keypad 1 to change the crosshair. That's it. Easy as can be.
There are 4 files needed for this bind : - cross.txt - color.txt - size.txt - type.txt
The command needed in your autoexec.cfg file: exec cross.txt
If you put them into a folder called Binds you change the line: exec Binds/cross.txt
Copy this into file Cross.txt:
set crosshairscript "vstr type" set type "set crosshairscript vstr size ; exec cross_type.txt; echo ^1[^3Adjust ^3crosshair^5TYPE^1]" set size "set crosshairscript vstr color ; exec cross_size.txt; echo ^1[^3Adjust ^3crosshair^5SIZE^1]" set color "set crosshairscript vstr type ; exec cross_col.txt; echo ^1[^3Adjust ^3crosshair^5COLOR^1]" bind KP_Ins "vstr crosshairscript"
// End of Bind 1
Copy this into file Color.txt:
set crosshaircolor "vstr white" set white "cg_crosshairrgba 1,1,1,1 ; set crosshaircolor vstr red" set red "cg_crosshairrgba 1,0,0,1 ; set crosshaircolor vstr blue" set blue "cg_crosshairrgba 0,0,1,1 ; set crosshaircolor vstr yellow" set yellow "cg_crosshairrgba 1,1,0,1 ; set crosshaircolor vstr green" set green "cg_crosshairrgba 0,1,0,1 ; set crosshaircolor vstr white" bind KP_Del "vstr crosshaircolor"
// End of Bind 2
Copy this into file Size.txt:
set crosshairsize "vstr size1" set size1 "cg_Crosshairsize 10; set crosshairsize vstr size2" set size2 "cg_Crosshairsize 20; set crosshairsize vstr size3" set size3 "cg_Crosshairsize 30; set crosshairsize vstr size4" set size4 "cg_Crosshairsize 40; set crosshairsize vstr size5" set size5 "cg_Crosshairsize 50; set crosshairsize vstr size1" bind KP_Del "vstr crosshairsize"
// End of bind 3
Copy this into file Type.txt:
set crosshairtype "vstr type1" set type1 "cg_drawCrosshair 1; set crosshairtype vstr type2" set type2 "cg_drawCrosshair 2; set crosshairtype vstr type3" set type3 "cg_drawCrosshair 3; set crosshairtype vstr type4" set type4 "cg_drawCrosshair 4; set crosshairtype vstr type5" set type5 "cg_drawCrosshair 5; set crosshairtype vstr type1" bind KP_Del "vstr crosshairtype"
// End of Bind 4

These are settings, to put into your Autoexec.cfg file. This will help you lowering your ping and less chance on LAG. Your Vidoe settings will be less smooth and less perfect. But still can do, and you will see you can play faster and easyer.
Specialy for those who's computer isn't that strong and have a lot of troubles with video settings.
Copy this into your Autoexec.cfg file:
// Video settings (anti LAG)
seta r_lodbias "4" // Geometric Detail, Valid = 1 - 4 seta r_picmip "4" // Texture Detail, Valid = 1 - 4 seta r_fastsky "0" // 1 = black sky, 2 = drawn sky seta r_subdivisions "80" // Curve Detail, valid = 0 - 80 seta r_simpleitems "1" // Enables Quick Items seta cg_drawgun "1" // Disables Viewing of Gun seta cg_lagometer "0" // Shows Netgraph seta r_vertexLight "0" // Light given from models seta r_dynamicLight "0" // Light given from explosions, etc seta cg_drawFPS "0" // Shows Current FPS seta cg_forceModel "1" // Forces One model in DM, minimizing loading seta cg_crosshairGrow "0" // Prevents Crosshair from growing when shooting, 1 to enable seta cg_weaponMenuFast "1" // Disables the Menu when selecting a weapon. seta cg_noProjectileTrail "1" // No Bullet Trails, 1 to enable seta r_roundImagesDown "1" // Makes images less detailed, 0 to enable high detail images seta r_detailtextures "0" // Makes textures less detailed, 1 to put them in high detail. seta cg_shadows "1" // 0 Disables Shadows
// ping help seta snaps "25" // for high ping users set to "15" to "20" seta rate "9500" // For high ping users set to "3900" to "4500" seta cl_maxpackets "20" // For High ping users set to "15" seta com_maxfps "100" // For high ping users set to "80" or lower also low pingers can use "85" to lower ping ever more
// End of settings

Do you also have a lot of sound binds? but when you enter a different server, your soundbinds are wrong? Got the solution for you....... I made a basic sound bindslist. Ready to use, and easy to adjust to your keys. It is a tekst file, so you can open it with notepad. All binds are below @100. So those are the basic SOF2 sounds. www.freewebs.com/sof2duck/MODs/BasicSounds.txt

Making keys to do or say things You can program any key to perform a function by using the 'bind' command. This is how to set the F key to display 'Nice Shot' 1. During the game open the console using the key under the ESC key 2. Type in bind f say Nice Shot #d 3. Press Enter then ESC to close the console. If you typed it in correctly pressing the F key should now type up 'Nice Shot' followed by the name of the player that shot you every time you press it. You can make keys say what ever you like. Other # that can be used in binds are... #h your current numerical health #a your current numerical armour #d the name of the last player that hurt you #t the name of the last player that you hurt #f the name of the closest team-mate #L your current location #i the name of your currently equipped handgun #p name of your currently equipped primary weapon #s the name of your currently equipped secondary weapon #g the name of your currently equipped grenade #e the name of your current equipment (armor, nightvision, infrared) #B Inserts your current health in a nice bar format #b Inserts your current armour in a nice bar format Note using letters in upper and lower case can give variations to the display you get copy from: www.sofplayers.co.uk/tips.htm

Name it binds1 (or wathever) put in in the rpmpro folder and when you ingame open console type /exec binds1.cfgAnd you binds are loaded , work on all rpmpro servers ;D

Nice to know this, i found a file in RPMPro that tells what number is what country. If you use an extra file for your name, then put in this command into the file to set your country or what ever country you want:
seta rpm_playerCountry "X" Where X is the number of the country you want to use.
"None" 0 "Argentina" 1 // ARG "Australia" 2 // AUS "Belgium" 3 // BEL "Brazil" 4 // BRA "Canada" 5 // CAN "China" 6 // CHI "Chile" 38 // CHL "Croatia" 7 // CRO "Denmark" 8 // DEN "England" 9 // ENG "Estonia" 10 // EST "Finland" 11 // FIN "France" 12 // FRA "Germany" 13 // GER "Greece" 14 // GRE "Hungary" 15 // HUN "Rep of Ireland" 16 // IRE "Israel" 17 // ISR "Italy" 18 // ITA "Jamaica" 19 // JAM "Japan" 20 // JAP "Korea" 21 // KOR "Mexico" 22 // MEX "Netherlands" 23 // NLD "Northern Ireland" 24 // NIRE "Norway" 25 // NOR "Poland" 26 // POL "Portugal" 27 // POR "Romania" 28 // ROM "Russia" 29 // RUS "Scotland" 30 // SCO "Spain" 31 // SPA "Sweden" 32 // SWE "Switzerland" 33 // SWI "Turkey" 34 // TUR "United Kingdom" 35 // UK "United States" 36 // USA "Wales" 37 // WAL
